After J.R. Smith's now-infamous blunder in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers guard received no shortage of social media criticism.

But little did he know, one post in particular would wind up in a lawsuit filed by a fellow NBA player.

On Tuesday, Milwaukee Bucks guard Sterling Brown filed a lawsuit against the Milwaukee Police Department regarding an incident in which he was beaten and tased over a parking dispute. The altercation, which occurred in January, was captured on video and has since proceeded to go viral.

In his lawsuit, Brown cites a social media post made by one of the responding officers, Erik Andrade, in which Andrade appears to reference the incident while mocking Smith's gaffe at the end of Game 1.

"I hope JR Smith double parks in Walgreens handicap Parkin spots when he's in Milwaukee!" Andrade posted in a document obtained by TMZ.

Per TMZ, Brown's lawsuit cites Andrade's post as "an admission that he and other Defendant officers are allowed to engage in unlawful attacks and arrests of African Americans without justification and then relish such events without any fear or real discipline."

With 4.7 seconds remaining at the end of Game 1 and the score still tied, Smith pulled down an offensive rebound following a missed free throw by Cavs point guard George Hill. Rather than going back up with a shot or calling timeout, however, Smith proceeded to run the clock out, seemingly unaware that the score was still tied.

The Golden State Warriors went on to outscore Cleveland 17-7 in overtime in the first victory of what would be a four-game sweep over the Cavs in the NBA Finals. Smith's jersey from the infamous moment is now available for auction.
