By this point in his NBA career, most players know not to poke LeBron James. Draymond Green, however, isn't most players.
As Green's Golden State Warriors prepared to take on James' Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas Day, the known agitator took a not-so-subtle jab at Cleveland's 'King.' In the moments leading up to their 3 p.m. ET tip-off in Oakland, Green unveiled a new pair of custom Nike shoes, which feature a prominent Arthur cartoon.
This isn't the first time Green has used everybody's favorite PBS aardvark to troll James. After the Cavs megastar posted his now infamous Arthur meme on Instagram in November, Green followed suit, with his own take on James' 'mood.'
James, of course, is no stranger to Green's antics, whether it be the Warriors' forward getting suspended for hitting him in the groin in the 2016 NBA Finals or his 'Quickie' shirt during Golden State's championship parade. At this point, their rivalry seems to be better natured than it used to be, but as many NBA players have learned by now, if you come at the King, you best not miss.
The Cavs and Warriors are squaring off on Christmas Day for the third straight season. Keep it locked on WKYC.com today for all the latest from the first regular season rematch of the past three NBA Finals.
