The Cleveland Cavaliers aren't set to start training camp until later this month, but three players on the team will be making their returns to the hardwood even sooner than that.

According to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com, Tristan Thompson (Canada), Cedi Osman (Turkey) and Ante Zizic (Croatia) will each represent their respective countries in the second round of the World Cup qualifiers later this month.

The second round of the global tournament is scheduled to take place from Sept. 13-17. Over that span, Thompson's Canadian team will face Brazil and China in the Americas Qualifiers, while Turkey and Croatia will each compete in the European Qualifiers.

According to Vardon, Cavs guard Jordan Clarkson, who played for the Philippines in the opening round of the tournament, is not expected to play in the Asian Games. All-Star forward and 2012 Olympic gold medalist Kevin Love will not play for Team USA, although he is eligible to play in the World Cup next summer.

The 2019 World Cup will take place in China.

Entering his eighth season in the league, Thompson is Cleveland's longest-tenured Cav. Last season, he averaged 5.8 points and 6.6 rebounds while appearing in 53 games (22 starts).

Osman and Zizic, meanwhile, are each entering their second seasons in the NBA and could see increased roles following their rookie campaigns and the offseason departure of LeBron james. Osman averaged 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds while playing averaging 11.0 minutes over 61 games, while Zizic tallied 3.7 points and 1.9 rebounds while averaging 6.7 minutes over 32 games.
