Mark Price is back in basketball.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cleveland Cavaliers legend will join the Denver Nuggets coaching staff for the upcoming season. As was the case during his most recent NBA coaching stint with the Charlotte Hornets, Price is expected to serve as a shooting instructor for Denver, which possesses a promising young shooting guard in Jamal Murray.

It's a role that suits Price well, given his status as one of the top shooters in NBA history. In nine seasons with the Cavs, the Georgia Tech product averaged 16.4 points and 7.2 assists on .479 shooting, including a .409 percent success rate from long-distance.

After closing out his NBA playing career following stints with the Washington Bullets, Golden State Warriors and Orlando Magic, the 4-time All-Star and 1993 first-team All-NBA selection began his professional coaching career in Australia, before joining Denver's staff for the 2007-08 season. From there, he enjoyed stints with the Atlanta Hawks, Warriors, Magic and Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets before landing his first head coaching gig at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.

In two-plus seasons at UNC-Charlotte, Price compiled a 30-42 record, failing to finish above .500 in each of his two full seasons as head coach. He was fired just nine games into the 2017-18 campaign after the 49ers got off to a 3-6 start.
