WATCH | Former teammates LeBron James and Kevin Love reunite before Cavaliers-Lakers game

Away from the spotlight of the playing floor, LeBron James caught up with former teammate Kevin Love prior to the Cavaliers-Lakers matchup.

There were so many anticipated moments as LeBron James made his return to Cleveland on Wednesday to lead his Lakers against the Cavaliers.

Fans got to experience most of the pageantry at the Q and on television as James received a standing ovation during pre-game introductions, followed by thunderous ovation after a classy tribute video by the Cavs coming out of a timeout.

One touching moment was tucked away behind the curtain of the playing floor.

Before the game, James caught up with former Cavs teammate Kevin Love outside of the locker room area. The two spent a few moments chatting and laughing.

Love is still sidelined with a foot injury and may not return to action until early in 2019.

James and Love had a unique relationship during their four years together in Cleveland. James used social media to passive-aggressively try to motivate his new teammate to figure out his place with the Cavs.

It was never easy, but Love did eventually find his place alongside LeBron and Kyrie Irving as the Big 3 led the Cavaliers to the 2016 NBA Championship.

Wednesday was a reminder that Kevin Love and LeBron James will always be joined by the bonds of brotherhood. And that's worth celebrating.
