CLEVELAND -- That #SlowGrind is coming to an end. Nearly four months after being traded by the Boston Celtics, Isaiah Thomas will make his Cleveland Cavaliers debut on Tuesday night when his new team hosts the Portland Trail Blazers at 7 p.m. ET.

Hours before taking part in his first NBA action since suffering a hip injury that forced him out of the Celtics' East Conference Finals playoff series against the Cavs last May, Thomas was on the court at Quicken Loans Arena taking part in a rigorous pregame warmup.

The 2-time All-Star also appears to be debuting new shoes for his first game with the Cavs, as he was spotted wearing a pair of custom wine and gold Kobe Bryant Nike's.

After averaging an Eastern Conference-best 28.9 points per game en route to earning All-NBA second-team honors last season, Thomas arrived in Cleveland last summer in the same trade that sent Kyrie Irving to the Boston Celtics. According to Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania, the 28-year-old will begin his Cavs stint on a minutes restriction, initially playing between 20-22 minutes per game, and it's already been announced that Cleveland will rest Thomas for its Wednesday night matchup against Boston.

Nevertheless, the sight of Thomas warming up in Cleveland was a welcome one for a Cavs team anxious to debut its newest All-Star.
