Report: LeBron James only has four teams on his free agency list

James can opt out of his current contract with the Cavs this summer.

Another day, another billboard. Even as the Cleveland Cavaliers hit the home stretch of the regular season, the bulk of attention toward the team seems to be focused on LeBron James and his impending free agency this summer.

But while by this point, it seems as though half the league -- if not more -- has been linked to "The King," according to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, James' list of potential destinations may have already been narrowed to four.

Per O'Connor:

I’ve consistently heard from multiple league sources that LeBron currently has only four teams on his list: the Cavaliers, Lakers, Rockets, and 76ers.

That would seem to rule out other suitors who have been linked to James' free agency this season, including the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat and even the Golden State Warriors. The Rockets, 76ers and Lakers have also been tied to potential pursuits of James this summer, with fans in Philadelphia and Los Angeles erecting billboards to recruit him -- with Cleveland offering a rebuttal in the same form.

James, for his part, has declined to comment on his impending free agency, other than to say that it's flattering to still be recruited while in the midst of what is his currently 15th season in the NBA. From the Cavs' perspective, it's also obviously encouraging that the 4-time MVP hasn't ruled out a return to Cleveland, where he has played 11 of his 15 seasons in the league.

Having appeared in all 64 of the Cavs' games this season, James is currently averaging 27.0 points, 9.0 assists and 8.4 rebounds while leading Cleveland to a 38-26 record.
