Craig Beaudion leads Cleveland State past Milwaukee 64-53

CLEVELAND — (AP) Craig Beaudion had a season-high 25 points as Cleveland State beat Milwaukee 64-53.

The Vikings raced out to a 23-2 lead only to let the Panthers pull ahead in the second half, but ended up pulling away late after Milwaukee went cold offensively (29.3% shooting). CSU is now is now 10-1 in Horizon League play (10-4 overall), still first in the conference by two games.

Torrey Patton added 13 points for the Vikings and Tre Gomillion had a game-high eight rebounds. DeAndre Gholston led the Panthers (5-5, 4-4 Horizon League) with a career-high 20 points.

The matchup aired live on ESPN2, giving CSU a chance to showcase its resurgent team before a national television audience. The two squads will face off again Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m. from the Wolstein Center.
