CLEVELAND — Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward got a big win off the field on Tuesday by donating hundreds of coats to needy students.

Ward and the Dream Builders Foundation received a grant to pay for the coats. Students from E Prep Village Prep Willard School were excited to receive them. Ward says being a cold weather town, this was the perfect time for the coat donation.

“Especially living in Cleveland, this is a cold weather town and you want to have a coat, if you don’t have a coat, you’re going to be freezing, so I thought it was a good opportunity to give back, especially this time of year,” says Ward.

Ward didn’t just donate the coats, he helped students find the perfect size as well.

“I’m just always looking for opportunities to give back to the community and I think this is a great opportunity. I did this last year as well with Coats for Kids and little kids coats and they enjoyed it, so I thought it was a great opportunity this year,” says Ward.
