CLEVELAND -- When the Cleveland Browns took the field on Thursday night, they did so donning a new look.

The Browns officially debuted their 'Color Rush' alternate uniforms during their primetime matchup with the New York Jets. Initially implemented in 2016, Nike's 'Color Rush' program has provided alternative monochromatic looks for all 32 NFL teams, most of which have been worn on Thursday nights.

With Cleveland's 2016 primetime game coming on the road and without a Thursday night date in 2017, the Browns have yet to don their alternate design, which features a brown uniform and pants, along with simplistic orange striping and numbers. That all changed Thursday night, the first such home game for Cleveland since 2013.

Last week, the Browns' official Instagram account posted pictures of the 'Color Rush' versions of Myles Garrett's and Jarvis Landry's jerseys to its story, only fueling speculation the design's debut would be arriving sooner rather than later.

According to Nike, 'Color Rush' uniforms "draw inspiration from both current and historic uniform schemes — celebrating the hallmarks of each club’s distinctive identity."

The Browns' version has largely been met with critical acclaim from fans, unlike the team's current set of standard uniforms. Thursday also won't be the last time the team dons its latest all-brown look this year, with new NFL rules permitting teams to wear alternate uniforms on three different occasions throughout a season.
