'ANNOYED': Cleveland Browns receivers Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones tweet out frustration after placement on COVID-19 list

Landry, Higgins, and Peoples-Jones are among the six Browns players on the NFL's Reserve/COVID-19 list and will miss Sunday's game against the Jets.

CLEVELAND — When the Cleveland Browns take the field Sunday at MetLife Stadium against the New York Jets, they will do so without a number of key players who were placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Most notably, wide receiver Jarvis Landry will miss the first game of his seven-year NFL career. His response on Twitter? 'ANNOYED'

The Browns announced on Saturday that Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones, KhaDarel Hodge and linebacker Jacob Phillips will miss the game after being placed on the NFL's reserve/COVID-19 list. This came hours after the Browns announced that they had closed their team facility and delayed their flight to New Jersey after a player tested positive for the coronavirus. Later in the day, the team announced that linebacker B.J. Goodson had been added to the COVID-19 list and that it would continue to conduct contact tracing in order to identify close contacts.

Landry had been playing well over the last four weeks for the Browns, catching 29 passes for 318 yards and his only three touchdowns so far in 2020. For the season, Landry has 67 receptions for 789 yards.

Landry wasn't the only Browns wide receiver on the COVID-19 list to express his anger at the situation on Twitter.

From rookie Donovan Peoples-Jones came, "Bro nawww ain't no way..."

And from Rashard Higgins:

With Landry, Higgins, Peoples-Jones and Hodge all out, Marvin Hall -- who the Browns claimed off waivers earlier this month and has yet to make his Cleveland debut -- will be the only wide receiver from the team's active roster suiting up on Sunday. Additionally, the Browns have elevated wide receivers Ja’Marcus Bradley and Derrick Willies and linebacker Montrel Meander from the practice squad, with all three players eligible to play against the Jets.
