HEARTWARMING | Georgia Bulldogs fan receives surprise visit from Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb

One young UGA fan received the surprise of a lifetime when his favorite football walked into his clinic room.

CLEVELAND — One young UGA fan received a surprise so big it would make the competition yell TOUCHDOWN.

Nick Chubb, running back for the Cleveland Browns, stopped by a clinic in Cleveland on Tuesday to surprise 10-year-old Luke Clayton.

Luke was in shock when his favorite UGA player Nick Chub entered the room.

“When we found out he was being sent to Cleveland for the procedure, he interrupted the doctor and told us he wanted to meet Nick in person. We got to work on that right away and one of my husband’s friends got the ball rolling with a contact and the rest is history,” said Shannon Clayton.

Luke has suffered from benign rolandic epilepsy since he was 5 years old. His mother, Shannon, said it is a disease that leaves him prone to seizures in his sleep.

“He is doing OK now, but the surprise definitely had and still has him on cloud 9,” said Shannon.

The signed football Chubb gave him has not left his side, according to Shannon. Luke’s love for UGA runs in his blood as his dad graduated from the university, she said.

The Claytons are season ticket holders. They look forward to cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs as they take on Alabama on Dec. 1.
