Three weeks ago, the entertainment world and fans across the world were rocked when actor Chadwick Boseman passed away at 43-years-old following a private bout with colon cancer. Prior to the Browns' matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football, Landry honored the late actor with a pair of pregame cleats depicting Boseman in his most famous role: T'Challa in the 2018 blockbuster film "Black Panther."

In addition to his iconic Black Panther role, Boseman starred as Jackie Robinson in the film “42,” Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, and even the “King of Soul” himself, James Brown. He also possessed a unique connection to the Browns franchise, starring as Ohio State linebacker-turned-NFL-prospect Vontae Mack in the 2014 film "Draft Day," which filmed several scenes in Cleveland.

Also starring Kevin Costner, "Draft Day" depicts a fictional Browns general manager's journey to the NFL Draft. Spoiler alert: Cleveland winds up taking Boseman's Mack with the No. 1 overall pick.

"Vontae Mack no matter what," the Browns' official Twitter account posted, repeating a famous line from the movie, shortly after Boseman's death. "RIP, Chadwick."

Now in his third season with the Browns, Landry has made Pro Bowls in each of the past five years. In Cleveland's season opener loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the 27-year-old tallied five receptions for 61 yards.
