JIMMY'S TAKE | Cleveland Browns have to face 'very difficult discussions' about what's next for the team after losing season

'Can they win with this quarterback?' 3News' Jim Donovan asked. What do you do with him?'

PITTSBURGH — “It is a mystery. How can this team fall apart offensively to the point that when they get the football they can’t move it at all?”

Those are the words of 3News' Jim Donovan as he offered his take after the Cleveland Browns lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field in Monday Night Football by a score of 26-14.

“This is the 20th losing season for the Browns in their 23 years since their reentrance into the NFL back in 1999," Donovan said. "But if you would’ve told me they would be 7-9 at this point of this season, I would’ve told you: ‘You are crazy.’ Well, you’re not. They are 7-9 with the Bengals coming to town to end the season.”

Donovan said the team has a lot to figure out once the season comes to a close.

"There will have to be very difficult discussions about what happened to this football team and how far they have fallen offensively. Is the offense broken? Can they win with this quarterback? What do you do with him? If you have to get another quarterback, where do you find him? Where do you trade to get him? Can you afford to draft a young quarterback? With this team it seems ready to win right now, but lacking great quarterback play.”
