J.J. Watt denies having a Peloton account after bio shows free agent destinations, including Cleveland

While a Peloton bio that has been linked to J.J. Watt seemed to show his potential free-agent destination, Watt himself denied having an account.

For more than a year now, Peloton-focused websites such as PeloBuddy.com and ConnectTheWatts.com have linked J.J. Watt to the "kJWatt" account.

So perhaps it shouldn't come as a surprise that it caused a stir when Complex Sports' Zach Frydenlund discovered that the account had Watt had updated its Peloton bio to include the following: "SB56...GB...CLE...BUF" -- a nod to three of the teams that Watt has been linked to since hitting the free-agent market last month.

But as the bio update received widespread attention on social media on Monday morning, Watt not only denied making the update, but having a Peloton account altogether. "I don’t own a bike. stop," Watt posted from his verified Twitter account.

Last week, ESPN's Dianna Russini reported that Watt has received "several offers" from teams since hitting the free-agent market. Currently, the best offer is believed to include an annual salary between $15 million and $16 million.

A contract offer that high would seemingly bode well for the Cleveland Browns, who have a glaring need to fill at defensive end this offseason. While Watt is reportedly looking to join a contender, he also wants to sign a contract reflective of his Hall of Fame resume, with Cleveland being one of a few teams possessing the ability to check both boxes.

That doesn't necessarily mean that the Browns are the team that has offered Watt a $15-$16 million per year salary or that they would be willing to go that high to sign the two-time sacks leader. But if it's a contender with cap space that the 31-year-old is looking for, he might be hard-pressed to find a better match than in Cleveland -- with his Peloton bio update now suggesting as much.
