BEREA, Ohio — Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield is not the only one feeling dangerous at training camp these days.

Never one to walk away from talking to an opponent or opposing coach during a game or even a teammate throughout the course of practice, defensive back Damarious Randall let his mindset be known without a single word Tuesday morning.

For the second-to-last practice of training camp this year, Randall broke out a new visor with the image of his quarterback surrounded by the words “Woke Up Feeling” in bold orange print and all capital letters. The image of Mayfield contained his trademark headband, and the orange accessory featured the word “Dangerous” in white lettering.

It is easy to see why Randall is “feeling dangerous” with Mayfield running the offense.

After taking over the first-team offense in the second quarter of a Week 3 win over the New York Jets, Mayfield completed 310 of his 486 attempts (63.8 percent) for 3,725 yards and an NFL rookie record 27 touchdowns against 14 interceptions during the 2018 season.

Mayfield broke a three-way tie with future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning and Seattle Seahawks signal-caller Russell Wilson for the most touchdown passes ever thrown by a rookie in the waning minutes of the 2018 regular-season finale against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Freddie Kitchens: Odell Beckham Jr. is ‘all in’ on his commitment to Cleveland Browns

Under the direction of new Browns coach Freddie Kitchens, the interim offensive coordinator for the second half of the 2018 season, Mayfield completed 180 of his 263 attempts (68.4 percent) for 2,254 yards and 19 touchdowns against eight interceptions.

Although Mayfield does not get official credit for the victory over the Jets because he came on in relief of an injured Tyrod Taylor, the first-year quarterback guided the Browns to seven wins and the greatest single-year turnaround in franchise history.
