CLEVELAND -- A native of Montgomery who spent his college career at Alabama, it would be tough to blame Mack Wilson if he was still getting used to his new surroundings in Cleveland.

The Browns rookie linebacker, however, appears to be fitting in just fine.

Hours after his breakout performance in Cleveland's 30-10 victory over the Washington Redskins in its preseason opener, Wilson took to Twitter to post a picture of himself entering the Browns facility on Friday morning. In doing so, the Crimson Tide product revealed he was wearing a black Collin Sexton Cavaliers jersey, showing an often appreciated sign of solidarity with another one of Cleveland's teams.

Wilson's show of support didn't go unnoticed by Sexton, who spent the lone season of his college basketball career at Alabama. Taking to Twitter, the second-year point guard retweeted Wilson's post, along with the caption "Yes sir," and a '100' and praying hands emoji.

Hours prior to his post on Friday, Wilson enjoyed a standout showing in the first preseason game of his NFL career. After recording an interception of first-round pick Dwayne Haskins and returning the ball for a touchdown in the second quarter, the 2018 All-SEC second-team added a second interception to his stat line in the fourth quarter when he picked off Washington signal-caller Josh Woodrum.

“Growing up, I played offense so I feel like my athletic ability helps me out," Wilson said after the game. "I think I have a nose for the football. It’s hard to explain, but it is just something I have. Growing up, I played quarterback, running back, and wide receiver.”

And if his fashion choice is any indication, point guard is just another one of his many preferred positions.
