CLEVELAND -- As the Cleveland Browns pursue their first victory of the 2018 season, they'll have one of their top playmakers in their lineup.

According to ESPN's Dianna Russini, wide receiver Jarvis Landry will take the field for Cleveland on Thursday night when the Browns host the New York Jets. The 3-time Pro Bowl selection had been a late addition to Wednesday's injury report, where he was listed as questionable with knee soreness.

One of the Browns' highest-profile acquisitions this past offseason, Landry arrived in Cleveland via a trade with the Miami Dolphins. In his first two games with the team, the fifth-year pro has totaled 12 receptions for 175 yards, including six first downs.

The loss of Landry would have been a devastating blow for the Browns, who traded wide receiver Josh Gordon to the New England Patriots earlier this week. Behind Landry, Cleveland's second-leading pass-catcher is tight end David Njoku, who has tallied 7 receptions for a mere 33 yards.

Through the first two weeks of the season, the 1-1 Jets lay claim to the NFL's eighth-ranked passing defense, allowing an average of 211 passing yards per game. The Browns, meanwhile, are still attempting to get their air attack on track as they rank 27th in the league in passing (192 yards per game) through two weeks.

The presence of Landry -- who's caught no fewer than 84 passes in each of his first four seasons in the NFL -- should aid those efforts. Currently laying claim an 0-1-1 record on the season, the Browns are looking to secure their first victory since the 2016 season.

Kickoff from FirstEnergy Stadium is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. on Thursday night.
