Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was formally indicted on a misdemeanor assault charge following an altercation with ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley.
According to an affidavit, Crowley stated that Manziel hit her, causing her to lose hearing in one ear on Jan. 30.
The case was sent to a grand jury, which decided to indict Manziel in a formal announcement April 26.
Manziel was dropped by his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, after less than a month of representation. He was also dropped by agent Erik Burkhardt in February.
