Everyone has a friend or two that might have been better-suited living in a different era. Sam Houston State's Chris Galbreath fits that bill as well as anyone.

The 6'7 senior forward was a first team all-Southland Conference selection earlier this week, thanks to a style of play that takes fans and coaches back a few decades.

As the Bearkats open the conference tournament on Thursday in Katy at 5 pm vs New Orleans, they're hoping Galbreath takes them back to the NCAA Tournament - a place they haven't been in almost a decade.

KAGS' Sports Director Colin Deaver chronicles Galbreath's rise in the 2017-18 season.
