Girls in STEM | 12-year-old STEMbassador becoming an entrepreneur

A 12-year-old Elyria girl has started her own business and is taking part in a nationwide contest for young entrepreneurs.

All year long, WKYC will be spotlighting Girls in STEM, an initiative that inspires girls to embrace science, technology, engineering and math.

12-year-old Sydney Taylor of Elyria is this week's STEMbassador. She stopped by our studios for a chat with Danielle Serino on Donovan Live.

Sydney's company, G.O. (Garden and Orchard) Fresh Brands, is competing in the Be the Boss: The Startup Squad Search for a Girl Who Means Business. The competition is a nationwide contest for girls ages 7 to 14 who have started their own business.

Sydney's first product is Sydney's Maple Tree Water, an alternative to bottled and tap water.
