WKYC recently announced its year-long "Girls in STEM" initiative, aimed at introducing Northeast Ohio girls to careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
Betsy Kling, herself a self-professed "science geek," serves as the face of the campaign, and on Tuesday, she reported live from the Northeastern Ohio Science and Engineering Fair at Cleveland State University.
The fair takes place through Thursday, and multiple awards will be handed out in the process. Organizers also say the amount of women in the event has increased.
