Girls in STEM | Finding STEM tools at Cuyahoga County Public Library

Check out some great STEM stuff at your local library!

CLEVELAND — When you think of your local library you probably think of books.  Lots and lots of books.

But these days, the library is THE place for anything and everything educational and informative.

This week's STEMbassador is Becky Ranallo, the Information and Technology Literacy Manager for the Cuyahoga County Public Library.

CCPL has four Innovation Centers where patrons can have hands-on access to some really high tech tools.

With a scan of your library card you can use a 3-D printer, laser cutter or try your hand at coding.

But the fun isn't just for adults, kids can take advantage of the library's collection of STEM related toys.

The Cuyahoga County Public Library employs more than 800 people at 28 branches in 47 communities.

STEMbassadors, a part of our multi-year, multi-platform initiative called Growing Curiosity | Girls in STEM, is a weekly segment featured Friday at 7PM on WKYC that highlights women and girls doing great things in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
