Science Olympiad, the STEM equivalent of a track meet, is well underway with competitions around the country challenging kids to discover science, technology, engineering and math.

Kids put together projects (usually with teamwork) to compete in tournaments for elementary through high school students.

The Highland Schools Science Olympiad team brought in their projects that showcased a variety of scientific principals in action.

STEMbassadors, a part of our multi-year, multi-platform initiative called Growing Curiosity | Girls in STEM, is a weekly segment featured Friday at 7PM on WKYC that highlights women and girls doing great things in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
