CLEVELAND — Attention, drivers!
If you take I-77 to get into downtown Cleveland, you will have to find an alternate route this weekend.
ODOT crews are closing all lanes of I-77 North at I-480 for bridge deck construction over I-490. The closure will be in effect from 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 until 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The suggested detour will be I-480 West to Route 176 North to I-490 East to I-77 North.
The following ramps will also be closed:
- I-480 East and West ramps to I-77 North: Suggested detour is Route 176 North to I-490 East to I-77 North.
- I-490 East to I-77 North: Suggested detour is Broadway Avenue north to E. 30th Street to I-77 North.
- I-77 North to I-490 West: Suggested detour is Broadway Avenue north to I-490 West.
“Limited local access will be maintained within the I-77 closure,” ODOT said.
All lanes of I-77 were closed for an entire weekend three weeks ago for bridge repairs.
ODOT officials say all work is weather-permitting.
