HOMERVILLE, Ohio — A 37-year-old man has died following a one-vehicle crash in Medina County on Wednesday evening.

Authorities say it happened around 6:59 p.m. when a Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on U.S. 224 approaching the intersection of Route 301.

The Ford traveled off the north side of the road and through a parking lot before colliding with a parked Ford Focus. The F-150 then struck a small group of trees and overturned, partially ejecting the driver, authorities said. The vehicle came to rest on all four wheels.

The driver, identified as Jimmy Lafferty of Spencer, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The situation remains under investigation.
