No injuries reported in Mentor SR-2 tanker crash

There was no fuel leak reported.

MENTOR, Ohio — The city of Mentor says no injuries were reported in a tanker crash that closed all lanes of state Route 2 earlier Monday.

A city spokesperson says a propane delivery tanker rolled over, but the driver walked away with no injuries. The city also says there was no fuel leak.

The closure was between state Route 44 and Heisley Road. Mentor police said the eastbound lanes were closed at Heisley Road and the westbound lanes were closed at state Route 44 south.

Heisley Road northbound was also closed at Diamond Centre Drive, while the southbound lanes were closed at the state Route 2 westbound entrance.

Guests at the nearby Residence Inn were relocated to an opposite side of the hotel away from the crash and staff at the nearby Brookdale senior living center were notified.
