A portion of Interstate 76 eastbound has been reopened following a crash Saturday evening.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says the road had been shut down between Kelly Ave. and State Route 8, with the accident occurring near South Arlington St. Traffic from I-77 both north and south is also being directed away.

Akron officials say a semi-truck toppled over on its side after it swerved to miss furniture that was in the road, causing a two-vehicle crash and "incredible" damage to the center barrier. Thankfully, no major injuries were reported.

The road reopened around 8:30 p.m.
