ROCKY RIVER, Ohio — Thursday's burst of winter weather is causing havoc across Northeast Ohio's roadways.

This is a developing story. Stay with 3News for the latest details as they become available.

The 3News weather team is expecting the potential for some minor accumulations, with much colder temperatures throughout the day.

This return to winter weather will be brief, though, because we'll rebound with warmer temperatures and sunshine for the weekend ahead.

This is a weak lake-effect snow event. Warm ground temperatures will also limit how much can stick. Elevated and grassy surfaces may be able to accumulate up to an inch.

With a dominant north wind, snow will be possible across all of Northeast Ohio. Many of the bands will be coming from Lake Huron, then consequently enhanced by Lake Erie.

It will not stay cold forever! This Easter weekend looks great. A mix of sun and clouds will return as light southerly winds bring us back toward the 60-degree mark. Highs will reach the 70s by next week.
