Air Quality Advisory

CLEVELAND — In anticipation of some hot and humid weather on Tuesday, the National Weather Service has issued an Air Quality Advisory beginning at midnight tonight and continuing throughout the day until midnight on Tuesday.

The following counties will be affected:

  • Ashtabula
  • Cuyahoga
  • Geauga
  • Lake
  • Lorain
  • Medina
  • Portage
  • Summit

Air quality levels will be unhealthy for sensitive groups during this period. If you are in the sensitive groups category of children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties, it is advised that you monitor your outdoor activity and check air quality readings at airnow.gov

The National Weather Service advises to drive less: bike, walk, use transit, work from home, or combine trips during the advisory. Also, turn off your car's engine, rather than idle it. Refill your gas tank after sunset and wait to mow your lawn.
