There are reports of waterspouts on Lake Erie

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Beach Hazards Statement, which is in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday for the lakeshore along Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, and Ashtabula counties.

There is a high swimming risk from waves and dangerous currents.

In addition, there is a Special Marine Warning for parts of Erie and Lorain Counties until 8:15 p.m. Areas impacted include Huron, Vermillion, and Lorain.

A shower producing waterspouts was located offshore of Vermilion around 6:45 p.m, creating locally hazardous seas.  Additional showers were located off of Huron that may be capable of producing waterspouts.
