Our crews were busy all weekend documenting the wintry blast with a minute-by-minute timeline of Mother Nature's fury, which you can re-live below.

MONDAY

5:22 a.m. A Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect through noon Monday across Crawford, Cuyahoga, Lorain, Mahoning and Stark counties. Expect very cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero.

Lake effect snow continues to fall on top of the blowing, drifting snow we received over the weekend. 

If you're hitting the roads, expect some slick spots and problem areas as crews continue to work to keep up with the drifting snow. Give yourself plenty of driving time today, especially if you're going to be on side streets.

SUNDAY

8:32 p.m. Julie Harden from Mentor tweets that the roads are still not great in Lake County but they are driveable.

7:45 p.m. The Emergency Snow Level in Lorain County has been lowered to a Level 1.

6:20 p.m. Check out this video from ODOT as they plow the streets in Lake County.

6:05 p.m. The city of Mogadore has extended their parking ban until 10:00 a.m. Monday morning.

6:00 p.m. Crawford County has downgraded to a Level 1 snow alert.  Drive with caution as roads may be icy.

5:50 p.m. The city of Stow has extended its parking ban through Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.

5:07 p.m. Snow continues to pile up in North Canton.  Denise McDannold sent us this picture of her backyard. 

4:25 p.m. WKYC Meteorologist Matt Wintz gives us an update of the lake effect snow impacting Northeast Ohio.

3:55 p.m. Just a reminder that the parking ban in the city of Kent is still in effect. Parking is prohibited on all city streets during this time.  You can be ticketed and/or towed.

3:30 p.m. Lorain County has lowered the emergency snow level to Level 1. Personal travel plans should still be evaluated and delayed if possible.

3:15 p.m. WKYC Photographer Jordan Miller gives us an updated look of the driving conditions in Akron.

11:51 a.m.  " Oh snow you didn't!" Our 'Chief' Betsy Kling says the worst is over and brought out a special shirt to celebrate.

11:20 a.m. The National Weather Service released  an intermediate list of snowfall reports across the city of Cleveland.

11:00 a.m. ODOT reported that they have more than 1,300 crews actively plowing and treating roads.

10:20 a.m. 

All of these cars were buried in snow after parking on the street during last night's storm. Parking bans are in place so this could have been avoided.

8:50 a.m. Cleveland ODOT says roads in Geauga and Lake County are covered but passable.Blowing and drifting snow continues to cause problems.

8:40 a.m. More snow is on the way--for some areas. Meteorologist Matt Wintz says a lake effect snow ban is heading towards Medina, Brunswick and Strongsville.

8:05 a.m. ODOT say there are more than 1,300 snow plows on the road in Ohio as of 8 a.m.

Sunday 12:26 a.m. We've been monitoring Cleveland Public Power's attempts to restore service to 2500 customers in the Detroit Avenue area between the Flats and W. 85th street. 

Just after 11:30 p.m., it looked like it was an all-clear:

11:50 p.m. Cleveland Police has let us know that Route 2 westbound at Lake has been shut down until snow plows can clear the area.

11:35 p.m. Our Ray Strickland just returned to the WKYC studios and shared this video of conditions around Downtown Cleveland with us.  Be careful out there, everyone!

11:16 p.m. So how bad is our weather going to be before we get a break? Betsy Kling had all of the answers in her forecast:

11:11 p.m. Ray Strickland checked in from I-90 headed west from Lake County. We saw how treacherous the highway was as Ray made his way into Euclid.

Level 3, which again means all non-emergency vehicles must be off the roads: Erie, Huron, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Crawford counties

Level 2, which states those who believe it is necessary to drive should be on the roadways: Lorain, Summit, Medina, Wayne, Ashland counties

Our Chief Meteorologist Betsy Kling took a stroll outside our studios on Facebook Live to check on the wintry conditions, then it was back indoors for a check of the radar and a look at how much more snow we can expect.

9:48 p.m. For the first time during this storm, we have a report of a power outage of some significance. According to Cleveland Public Power, 2500 customers are without power north and south of Detroit Avenue from the Flats to West 85th Street.

9:41 p.m. We check in at ODOT's District 3, which services everyone from Lorain and Medina counties in greater Cleveland, to Richland and Ashland counties down south, to Erie County out west.

9:23 p.m. Here's the latest from our friends at ODOT, in terms of number of vehicles out on the roads:

6:51 p.m. Lorain County issues a Level 2 snow emergency until further notice.

"A Level 2 snow emergency means that roadways are very hazardous, with blowing and drifting snow," officials say. "Travel should only be attempted if absolutely necessary. Curtail your driving until the current weather situation improves."

6:47 p.m. Yikes! These roads don't look fun! WKYC's Amani Abraham takes us for a drive through Akron along the Central Interchange.

6:42 p.m. ODOT provides an update from Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties saying they will continue to have 80 plows working throughout the area.

6:37 p.m. ODOT says they now have 1,128 crews working throughout the entire state.

6:34 p.m. One report indicates the snow is coming down at a rate of one inch per hour.

5:57 p.m. A Level 3 snow emergency has been issued in Ottawa County. 

"Hazardous conditions such as ice and blowing/drifting snow have caused some roads to possibly be closed," according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office. "Travel should be undertaken based on necessity. Contact your employer with regard to whether or not you should report to work."

5:53 p.m. Another crash causing delays on the Turnpike. This one is in Lorain County, which has the westbound right and center lanes blocked.

5:43 p.m. The Parma Police Department just let us know that Ridge Road has been closed between W. Sprague Road and W. Pleasant Valley Road until further notice due to road salting.

The city of Akron has also triggered a snow parking ban, which is in effect until further notice. "A parking ban is now in place for main city streets to facilitate the clearing of these streets and to expedite the free flow of vehicular traffic," city officials declared in a statement to WKYC.

11:06 a.m. The Erie County Sheriff's Office declares a Level 1 winter advisory. But what does each level mean? Here is an explanation from the Erie County Sheriff's Office: 

LEVEL 1 - Roadways are hazardous due to accumulated snow or ice. Drive cautiously.

LEVEL 2 - Roadways are hazardous due to blowing and drifting snow and/or ice cover. Only those who believe it is necessary to drive should be on the roadways. Contact your employer to determine if you should report to work.

LEVEL 3 - Roadways are closed to all non-emergency travel due to extremely hazardous conditions. No one should be on the roadway unless it is absolutely essential to travel. Those operating vehicles on the roadway for non-emergency reasons may be subject to arrest.
