Heavy rain, severe flooding poses threat for parts of Northeast Ohio

From extreme heat to heavy rain.

From extreme heat to heavy rain--several counties in the WKYC viewing are experiencing heavy rain.

The rain will continue to pose a threat as more organized storms move across the region. With heavy rain comes severe flooding. One area currently experiencing flooding is Wayne County, specifically Apple Creek.

Four people were rescued from a home on Dover Road in the city Sunday afternoon. Additionally, the Apple Creek Fire Department has declared all roads as impassable due to high water levels. The village has also been " shut down." Residents are being asked to shelter in place until the water levels recede.
