The National Weather Service has expired a severe thunderstorm warning for several Northeast Ohio counties.
Areas affected include:
- Cuyahoga
- Geauga
- Lake
- Medina
- Summit
- Trumbull
A storm was apparently located over Medina around 2:25 p.m. and moved east. Localities expected to be hit hardest included Cleveland, Akron, Medina, Painesville, and Chardon.
Residents were asked to be on the lookout for wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour as well as penny-sized hail. Trees and power lines could also suffer damage.
