Gusty winds are possible during the overnight hours.

CLEVELAND — A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning for most of the 3News viewing area.

Those counties in the watch area include: Ashland, Erie, Huron, Lorain, Richland, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, and Wayne.

Earlier on Saturday morning, the National Weather Service canceled its Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of Geauga and Portage counties. Prior warnings for Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Summit counties have also expired.

70 mile per hour wind gusts and half dollar size hail was possible during the early morning storm. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Photojournalist Sean Forester captured these images of the lightning in the area during the earlier Severe Thunderstorm Warning.
