Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of Coshocton and Tuscarawas counties until 3:00 p.m.

CLEVELAND — The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the northeast part of Coshocton County and the southwestern portion of Tuscarawas County until 3:00 p.m.

At 2:17 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located over Farmerstown, or 10 miles southeast of Millersburg, moving southeast at 15 mph. 

Wind gusts of up to 60 mph are possible along with half dollar-size hail. Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines, resulting in some power outages.

Locations impacted include: Newcomerstown, Sugarcreek, Baltic, Port Washington, Stone Creek, Chili and Bakersville. This includes Interstate 77 in between mile markers 66 and 77.

Those in the warning area are advised to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
