High winds caused massive power outages across the area on Thursday night.

According to First Energy, more than 7,300 are still without power across the region.

FirstEnergy officials held a news conference Friday afternoon to give updates:

Officials said there around 1,500 workers out attempting to restore power and 25 line crews have been called in to help.

Wind advisories have been canceled but the air remains brisk.

Here is a rundown of the power outages by county as of noon Saturday.

  • Ashtabula - 1,941
  • Cuyahoga - 4,163
  • Erie - Fewer than 5
  • Geauga - 464
  • Huron - Fewer than 5
  • Lake - 703
  • Lorain - 46
  • Medina - 13
  • Portage - Fewer than 5
  • Richland - Fewer than 5
  • Summit - 5
  • Wayne - 12

Some areas may not see power restored until 10 p.m. Sunday, according to OhioEdison's outage map.
