Eastern Maine will be an exception where rain from Erin will dampen at least part of the day.

The brunt of this storm's rain and wind will target the Canadian Maritimes. The dry, less humid air will fail to reach Florida, where showers and thunderstorms are forecast to erupt.

Florida and the rest of the southern Atlantic Seaboard should be closely monitoring the path of Dorian through the Caribbean as the storm is expected to impact the United States over Labor Day weekend.

Outside of spotty showers in the Upper Midwest and South Central states, dry weather is likely over much of the nation's midsection. Showers are forecast to dot the Northwest as storms erupt amid the heat in the Four Corners states.
