Tuesday's tornado in Trumbull County rated EF1

It was reportedly on the ground for 4 1/2 miles.

Residents are combing through storm damage after a tornado touched down in Trumbull County Tuesday morning.

WFMJ reports that the National Weather Service rated the tornado an EF1 with maximum winds that reached 95-100 miles per hour. It was reportedly on the ground for 4 1/2 miles.

The warning has since expired, though one remained in Pennsylvania's Mercer County until 11:15 a.m.

Now, Trumbull County residents are surveying damage left by the storm.

The National Weather Service says the tornado touched down west of Mosquito Lake. NWS spent the afternoon surveying the area.

Police in Cortland say there is widespread damage across the city, such as downed wires and trees.
