The only precipitation in the eastern United States will be found in the Great Lakes region in the form of flurries.
Many of the Plains states will be dry and bright as well, with the exception of morning fog across portions of Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma.
A few morning showers will dot southern Texas as well. Snow is expected to move into Utah and northern Arizona, while wet weather continues across California.
Heavy mountain snow will make travel through the Sierras nearly impossible, while rain threatens flooding in the valleys and along the coast.
