 Most areas along the Eastern Seaboard can expect dry weather with at least some sunshine.

Meanwhile, a new storm will be taking shape over the nation's midsection. Enough snow to create slippery travel will extend from eastern Colorado to Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. 

Rain will dampen areas farther south, including the middle and lower Mississippi Valley. A very narrow corridor of wintry mix may occur in between the rain and snow areas. 

Cold, dry air will settle over the interior West, as breezy conditions are kicked up in Southern California. Rain is forecast to dampen the Pacific Northwest.
