Wind Advisory issued for Saturday morning in Northeast Ohio: See if your county is included

It's going to be a windy Saturday across Northeast Ohio.

CLEVELAND — After dealing with soggy conditions Friday, we’re expecting strong winds throughout Northeast Ohio for your Saturday morning with gusts up to 50 mph possible.

That’s why the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the following counties from 2 a.m. until 9 a.m. Saturday, March 4:

  • Ashland
  • Cuyahoga
  • Geauga
  • Holmes
  • Huron
  • Lake
  • Lorain
  • Mahoning
  • Medina
  • Ottawa
  • Portage
  • Richland
  • Sandusky
  • Seneca
  • Stark
  • Summit
  • Wayne

The Wind Advisory is in effect for Erie County until 7 a.m. on Saturday.

“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects,” according to the National Weather Service. “Three limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle.”

Temperatures will dip into the 30s early Saturday with scattered snow chances before topping out around 40 degrees. Sunday brings a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid 40s before we surge into the upper 50s with more scattered rain chances by Monday.

The National Weather Service also issued a Flood Warning for the following locations: 

  • Portions of Stark County, including Nimishillen Creek and the West Branch of Nimishillen Creek until 4 a.m. Saturday.
  • Eagle Creek at Phalanx Station affecting Trumbull County until at least 7 a.m. on Saturday.
  • Killbuck Creek Near Killbuck affecting Wayne and Holmes Counties until at least late Sunday morning.
