Winter Storm Warning expanded ahead of incoming storm: Here are the current weather alerts

It's a storm that's expected to bring heavy snow and ice concerns.

CLEVELAND — As we continue to monitor the incoming high-impact winter storm, the National Weather Service has expanded its alerts ahead of the storm’s arrival.

Here are the current weather alerts as of 2 p.m. Wednesday.

  • Lake
  • Lorain

IN EFFECT FROM 7 A.M. WEDNESDAY TO 7 A.M. FRIDAY

  • Ottawa
  • Sandusky
  • Seneca

IN EFFECT FROM 10 P.M. WEDNESDAY TO 7 A.M. FRIDAY

  • Ashland
  • Geauga
  • Medina
  • Portage
  • Richland
  • Summit
  • Trumbull
  • Wayne

IN EFFECT FROM 1 A.M. THURSDAY TO 7 A.M. FRIDAY

  • Stark
  • Mahoning
  • Holmes

IN EFFECT FROM 1 A.M. THURSDAY TO 10 A.M. FRIDAY

  • Carroll
  • Columbiana
  • Coshocton
  • Tuscarawas

This is a storm that's expected to dump heavy snow with some ice concerns as well. The heaviest snow totals are expected in the northern-most counties with more concern for ice in areas south.

"Travel could be very difficult," the National Weather Service warns. "Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility."
