FAIRLAWN ? State investigators are now contacting all 30 of the individuals whose personal information, including social security numbers, was found in a dumpster.

In an exclusive, Channel 3's Eric Mansfield, found the documents outside the Fairlawn Bureau of Motor Vehicles Office.

Agents from the Department of Public Safety say they are disturbed by the discovery of the documents and hope to reassure those who had their information discovered in the trash.

?"We want to allow this investigation to run its course so we can determine proper action to take against the agency, which could include revocation and termination of the contract with the individual deputy registrar," said Tom Hunter with the department.

Hunter says the investigation should be completed by the end of the week. A spokesman for the Fairlawn BMV maintains that the documents were thrown in the trash by the customers themselves.
