FirstEnergy to screen live-action Aladdin at Canal Park on August 28

The 2019 live-action Aladdin will be shown on the big screen.

Grab your popcorn, movie night is coming to Canal Park! 

FirstEnergy will host movie night at the home of the Rubber Ducks on Saturday, August 28. The organization will screen the 2019 live-action Aladdin on the video board in downtown Akron. 

According to IMBD, the two-hour and eight minute long film tells the story of a "kind-hearted street urchin and a power-hungry Grand Vizier vie for a magic lamp that has the power to make their deepest wishes come true." The movie stars Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott. 

Tickets to the event are five dollars per person, with a portion of proceeds benefitting the Summa Health Foundation. Gates for the event will open at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, and the show time is 7 p.m. 

The concessions stands will be open for guests to purchase food and snack. No outside food or drinks will be permitted.
