Cleveland APL reduces adoption fees during the holidays

Pit bulls and pit bull mixes fees reduced to $50.

CLEVELAND — Pit bulls and pit bull mixes are often the most overlooked dogs in shelters but most these blocky-headed, squishy-faced pooches make for great family dogs. They are known for their cuddling abilities and love playing and taking walks. PItties would be perfect for many families this holiday season!

From Friday, December 11, 202 through Thursday, December 24, 2020, the adoption fee for all pit bull-type dogs at the Cleveland Animal Protective League will be reduced from $125 to $50 for dogs over five months old. A county license must be purchased for $21.

The Cleveland APL has all available pets for adoption posted on their website at https://clevelandapl.org/adopt/adoptable-animals/. Adopters can learn how to adopt and protocols for adopting as the shelter is not allowing in-person browsing. Meeting a dog will require an appointment. Animal pickups are done by making an appointment. Face masks are required for all services.

For more information about adoption or fostering, the Cleveland  APL's phone number is 216-771-4616.
