Drive-in Easter services planned for Sunday

Easter will definitely be a bit different this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

OAKWOOD VILLAGE, Ohio — Safety first! that’s the number one priority at Mt. Zion in Oakwood Village.

“We're doing a drive-in service where people can come in, stay in their cars, remain safe and receive the word of God,” Pastor Larry Macon Jr. said.

He said it’s important for the congregation to know that we’re in this together. Although this year’s Easter service will be different, the message will still be the same.

“I think people enjoy the way we are being creative during these times.”

Praise and worship in the parking lot, now the new norm. Even during the pandemic, Pastor Macon Jr. said the congregation is still encouraged to get dressed up for the holiday.

“Come dressed up as a family. I think you should still celebrate together even though you’re in the car.”

Just set your station to 88.5 and you can enjoy an Easter service you’ll never forget.

“We have this in a safe environment and still celebrate Easter together."

There will be two services on at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
