Suspect arrested after robbing Akron pizza delivery person at gunpoint

AKRON, Ohio — On Friday night, Akron police were called to Domino's Pizza on Vernon Odom Boulevard after getting reports of a robbery. 

According to APD, an 18-year-old delivery driver said that she was robbed while making a delivery at a residence in the 2300 block of 29th Street SW.

The delivery driver told police that when she got to the address, a woman approached her and asked her for directions.  Just moments later, a male came from behind, showed a gun, and demanded money. The driver gave the man money and he took off.

Police were able to locate a woman who matched the description that the driver gave them, plus, obtain information that led to the arrest of 19-year-old Andre Yeager Jr. Upon arrest, APD confiscated two handguns from Yeager Jr. 

The 19-year-old was charged with Aggravated Robbery and taken to the Summit County Jail.
