Lyndhurst police investigating shooting of business owner; provides video and suspect vehicle description

23-year-old Dailyn B. Ferguson was shot inside of a vehicle. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital and is in critical condition as of Monday.

LYNDHURST, Ohio — The Lyndhurst Police Department is investigating the shooting of a man on Sunday evening and have provided a description of the suspect vehicle and surveillance video.

According to Lyndhurst Police Chief Patrick Rhode, the incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. outside of DF Kickz on Mayfield Road. Officers were called to the scene and found the owner of the business, 23-year-old Dailyn B. Ferguson, shot inside of a vehicle. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital and is in critical condition as of Monday. 

Police are looking for the following vehicle that is believed to be involved in the incident: A blue 2008 Volkswagen Jetta with an Ohio license plate number HBG 7262. The car has heavily tinted windows on all sides and was reported stolen out of Warrensville Heights on May 1. 

Surveillance video shows that the suspect vehicle pulled into the parking lot, opened fire on a car, and then fled the area south on Biltmore Road. There is no suspect description available, nor what type of firearm was used.
