The Akron Zoo is holding a special New Year’s Eve celebration on Friday as the world says goodbye to 2021 and hello to 2022.

The “Zoo Year’s Eve” celebration will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event will feature crafts, music, animal encounters, a meet and greet with Tinkerbell and Peter Pan and a ball drop at noon. The Akron Zoo also asks that guests coming to the event come dressed in their pajamas.

The Akron Zoo is located at 500 Edgewood Ave. in Akron, which is home to more than 100 different species.
